At P&P Car and Camper Sales Limited, we are committed to providing quality motorhomes and excellent customer service. This Refund and Exchange Policy explains your rights and our procedures regarding refunds, exchanges, cancellations, deposits, and vehicle defects.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
2. Change of Mind
As motorhomes are high-value vehicles, we do not generally offer refunds or exchanges where a customer changes their mind after purchase.
Any request for a cancellation, refund, or exchange due to a change of mind will be considered at our sole discretion and may be subject to administration costs, preparation costs, storage costs, or other reasonable charges incurred by us.
3. Deposits
Deposits are taken to reserve a motorhome and remove it from sale.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Deposits are non-refundable if the customer decides not to proceed with the purchase.
- Deposits may be refunded if we are unable to supply the vehicle as agreed.
- Any special-order or customised vehicle deposits may be non-refundable once work or ordering has commenced.
4. Faulty or Misdescribed Vehicles
If a vehicle is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you may have legal remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Depending on the circumstances, these may include:
- Repair of the vehicle.
- Replacement vehicle (where available).
- Price reduction.
- Refund.
If you believe your vehicle has a fault, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can inspect the vehicle and discuss the appropriate remedy.
5. Used Motorhomes
Our used motorhomes undergo inspection and preparation before sale. However, due to age, mileage, and previous use, reasonable wear and tear should be expected.
Customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and ask any questions before completing the purchase.
Any rights relating to faulty vehicles remain protected under applicable consumer legislation.
6. New Motorhomes
New motorhomes are supplied with the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
Warranty claims may be handled directly by the manufacturer or through our dealership, depending on the warranty terms.
Manufacturer warranties are in addition to your statutory consumer rights.
7. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges.
Where an exchange is agreed:
- The returned vehicle must be in substantially the same condition as when supplied.
- All documentation, keys, manuals, and accessories must be returned.
- Any valuation difference between vehicles must be settled before completion of the exchange.
8. Distance and Online Sales
Where applicable, customers purchasing through a qualifying distance sale may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
These rights may not apply in all circumstances and may be subject to deductions permitted by law where a vehicle has been used beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
